The following notice was published in the Evening Times.

I am sorry to have to inform you that Nancy Blackstock passed away on Friday the 2nd April 2004. She was taken into hospital for a minor operation, but contracted a virus from which she did not recover. Below is a copy of the obituary notice which will appear in the Scottish Evening News and Herald on Tuesday.

Nancy was born on the 29th August 1915 in Larkhall. She was the only daughter of Christina and Thomas Ramage, the wife and lifelong partner of the late George Blackstock, mother and mentor of Jimmy, Sandy and the late Kay, mother in law and advisor to Isobel and Ann, loving and caring Gran to Suzanne, Alex and Hazel. Nancy died peacefully in her sleep in Glasgow Royal Infirmary on the 2nd of April 2004. The dignified matriarch of the family, she will be sadly missed by us all. Her funeral will take place on 8 th April 2004 at 10:45 at Carmyle Parish Church, Carmyle Avenue, thereafter to Daldowie Crematorium arriving at 11:30. All family and friends are invited to attend.
